These Terms of Use govern any website design, development, and related services provided by Earendel ("we," "us," "our") to a client ("you," "your"). By requesting a quote, making a deposit, or otherwise engaging our services, you agree to these terms. If anything here is unclear, ask us before starting a project — we're happy to explain.
Earendel is a website design and development studio operated as a Romanian SRL (limited liability company), based in Timișoara, Romania.
We design and build custom websites, including but not limited to presentation websites, e-commerce stores, Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), search engine optimization (SEO), and rebranding/visual identity work. The exact scope of any project is defined in the quote or proposal agreed with you before work begins.
All published prices are indicative starting points. Final pricing is confirmed after a consultation call, based on your specific requirements.
If you cancel a project before any work has begun, your deposit will be refunded in full, minus a small administrative fee to cover the time already spent on consultation and scoping.
Once work has started, the deposit becomes non-refundable, as it covers design, planning, and development time already invested in your project. If a project is cancelled partway through, we will discuss in good faith what has been completed and whether any partial handover or partial refund of work beyond the deposit is appropriate, on a case-by-case basis.
During the build phase, all plans include unlimited edits until you are satisfied with the result, provided the requested changes remain within the original agreed project scope.
After launch, your plan includes a defined support period (as stated in your quote) covering minor changes and maintenance — content updates, small design tweaks, bug fixes, and general upkeep. This support does not cover major additions such as new pages, new features, or a full redesign; work of that kind will be scoped and quoted separately.
Upon receipt of final payment, full ownership of the completed website — including its code, design files, and content created specifically for the project — transfers to you. You are free to modify, host, or transfer the site as you see fit.
We retain the right to showcase completed projects in our own portfolio and marketing materials, unless you request otherwise in writing (for example, for confidentiality reasons).
Any third-party assets used in your project (stock photography, licensed fonts, plugins, or software) remain subject to their own respective licenses, which will be disclosed to you where relevant.
We assist with the technical setup of your domain and SSL certificate during the build so your site is ready to launch. However, you own and manage your own domain registration and hosting account — we do not host client websites ourselves, and you are not dependent on us to keep your site online.

Delays caused by late feedback or missing content may affect your project's delivery timeline.
We take reasonable care to deliver high-quality, functional websites, but we cannot guarantee specific business outcomes (such as a particular volume of sales, traffic, or search ranking position), as these depend on many factors outside our control.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the project in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits or business opportunities.
We treat information you share with us about your business as confidential and will not disclose it to third parties, except as required to deliver the agreed services (for example, to a hosting provider you've asked us to configure) or as required by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. For clients based in the United Kingdom, nothing in these terms affects any statutory rights you may have under UK consumer protection law that cannot be excluded by contract.
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
